Red & White Gala

On Saturday February 17th, 2007, PalCare Network staged their annual Red & White Gala. More than 200 supporters enjoyed an incredible Starry, Starry night at Madsen's Greenhouses. They enjoy a fabulous dinner along with a night of dancing, Silent and Live Auctions, Balloon Pop, Prizes & Giveaways and MUCH more. Hike for Hospice Palliative Care - Sunday May 6th 2007

Why not turn making a donation into a fun event? Employee groups can support PalCare Network for York Region by donating proceeds from special events or casual days. And donations from employee charitable funds are always welcome. If your workplace offers a corporate match of employee donations, please let us know when you make your contribution – we’ll be happy to apply for the additional funds! PalCare Network for York Region is proudly funded by United Way of York Region. In addition to our grant, we also receive funds designated through United Way's Donor Choice Program. If you or your colleagues would like to donate to us through your United Way Employee Campaign, turn your pledge card over and specify PalCare Network for York Region, along with the amount you'd like to designate.

Honour a loved one
Remember someone you miss
Leave a legacy by supporting hospice palliative care in our community
You can honour family or friends with a tribute gift to PalCare Network. The Tribute Program is a compassionate way for you to acknowledge the memory of those who are missed. Tributes may also be made to honour family and friends on special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries or on religious holidays.
When PalCare Network receives a tribute gift, those honoured, or the family of those remembered, are notified with a card. The amount of the gift is not disclosed. Your donation will support many families across York Region through our Pain & Symptom Management Program.

Third Party Events
Put the FUN in fundraising!
Planning a fun event? Why not turn it into a fundraiser for hospice palliative care? Individuals, community groups, small businesses, corporations, employee groups and service clubs often have social events. Make your event really count by supporting individuals living with a life-threatening illness, right in your community. If you are having an event for your organization such as a golf tournament, BBQ or casual day, you can donate the proceeds to PalCare Network. A great event becomes even better when participants know they are supporting an excellent cause. If you would like to support PalCare Network through a third party event, . We would be pleased to provide promotional materials and lend our banner!

- Color Town Golf Tournament
In June 2004, Chris Brochell and the staff at Color Town held a golf tournament on behalf of PalCare Network for York Region. The annual event, always a success, raised $7,500.00 in support of hospice palliative care in York Region.

- Creative Colours Fashion Show
The 2005 Creative Colours Fashion Show was another HUGE success, raising $6,100 for PalCare Network for York Region. Click here for event details and to view a photo gallery from the event!
- Angel Hair For Kids
In March 2004, PalCare Network was honoured to be the beneficiary of a very special event. Marita Cressatti, a student at Sacred Heart High School in Newmarket, began a campaign in memory of her Uncle Luigi. Marita collected pledges in support of having her long blond hair cut and then donated to Angel Hair For Kids - an organization that makes wigs for children being treated for serious illnesses. Marita raised over $4,400.00 in memory of her Uncle and in support of PalCare Network for York Region. We were both privileged and inspired by Marita’s efforts - and, on behalf of everyone at PalCare Network for York Region, we extend a heart-felt thanks to Marita. We would also like to thank Mark Hodder and his staff for providing the hair cutting, and afterwards a new hairstyle and makeover for Marita.
